Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 POLY held the auction Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV, which included the work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script by Yang Shanshen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 9,600.00 (€ 1,474.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Shanshen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chinese Zodiac in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 4,220,000.00 (€ 418,431.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte POLY die Auktion Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script von Yang Shanshen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 9.600,00 (€ 1.474,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Shanshen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Chinese Zodiac im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.220.000,00 (€ 418.431,98).
