Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plum Blossom And Sparrows by Yang Shanshen was sold in the Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV auction at POLY in January 2024. The price achieved of HKD 20,400.00 (€ 3,134.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Shanshen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chinese Zodiac in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 4,220,000.00 (€ 418,431.98).

Die Arbeit Plum Blossom And Sparrows von Yang Shanshen wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 20.400,00 (€ 3.134,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Shanshen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Chinese Zodiac im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.220.000,00 (€ 418.431,98).
