A top price for Yang Qianli
This artwork by Yang Qianli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,266.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Yang Qianli that we have observed at auctions so far.
