In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan, which included the work Plucking Flowers by Yan Bo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,000.00 (€ 30,241.23), 23% above the upper estimate. With this result, Plucking Flowers is even the most expensive work of art by Yan Bo that we have observed at auctions so far.
