Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bazaar In Samarkand by Yakov Markovich Khaimov was sold in the Art of the Soviet Union auction at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yakov Markovich Khaimov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cucumber Picking, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,093.64).
