This artwork by Ya Ming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in December 2021. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction, the work Wild Geese sold for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,796.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ya Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 74,376.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ya Ming erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center wurde die Arbeit Wild Geese für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.796,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ya Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 74.376,35).
