The work Mountains by Ya Ming was worth HKD 750,000.00 (€ 74,376.35) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Mountains the most expensive artwork by Ya Ming that we have observed at auctions so far.
