Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seascape by Ya Ming was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 22,680.00 (€ 2,717.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ya Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 74,376.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seascape von Ya Ming wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 22.680,00 (€ 2.717,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ya Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 74.376,35).
