A top price for Xu Naipu
This artwork by Xu Naipu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script sold for HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy In Cursive Script the most expensive artwork by Xu Naipu that we have observed at auctions so far.
