Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes by Xu Fang was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. The price achieved of HKD 120,000.00 (€ 13,129.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Fang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Springs And Rocks At Mount Tianping in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 514,000.00 (€ 457,376.76).
