The work Expounding On History In A Pine-Shaded Pavilion by Xu Fang was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 73,150.75), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Xu Fang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Springs And Rocks At Mount Tianping in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 514,000.00 (€ 457,376.76).

Die Arbeit Expounding On History In A Pine-Shaded Pavilion von Xu Fang wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 73.150,75) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Fang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Springs And Rocks At Mount Tianping im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 514.000,00 (€ 457.376,76).
