This artwork by Xing Tong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Poems In Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 57,600.00 (€ 5,998.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xing Tong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cursive Script Calligraphy in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 82,976.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xing Tong erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 57.600,00 (€ 5.998,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xing Tong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 82.976,05).
