The work Lohans by Xing Baozhuang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,354.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xing Baozhuang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Drinking Beside The River, which sold at auction in November 2005 for HKD 120,000.00 (€ 13,129.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lohans von Xing Baozhuang kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.354,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Xing Baozhuang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Drinking Beside The River beobachtet, die im November 2005 für HKD 120.000,00 (€ 13.129,77) versteigert wurde.
