Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xing Baozhuang could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II auction, the work Landscape changed hands for HKD 48,000.00 (€ 4,821.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xing Baozhuang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Drinking Beside The River, which sold at auction in November 2005 for HKD 120,000.00 (€ 13,129.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xing Baozhuang konnte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 48.000,00 (€ 4.821,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xing Baozhuang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Drinking Beside The River beobachtet, die im November 2005 für HKD 120.000,00 (€ 13.129,77) versteigert wurde.
