Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Three-Way Intersection by Xiao Rusong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 240,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,666.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Xiao Rusong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life by The Window in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 150,224.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three-Way Intersection von Xiao Rusong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 240.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.666,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Rusong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life by The Window im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 150.224,94).
