The »bidding war« ended at HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,025.15), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Xia Tonghe have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,743.61) in October 2019 for the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script.
