Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Nights In Norway by Xan Krohn was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,190.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xan Krohn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Mr B., which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,919.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White Nights In Norway von Xan Krohn kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.190,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Xan Krohn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Mr B. beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.919,57) versteigert wurde.
