Upper estimate price exceeded by 80 %.
This artwork by Wu Zuoren achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Goldfish sold for HKD 90,000.00 (€ 91,907.61) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Zuoren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golden Ocean in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 8,167,500.00 (€ 713,988.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Zuoren erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Goldfish für HKD 90.000,00 (€ 91.907,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Zuoren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Golden Ocean im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.167.500,00 (€ 713.988,97).
