Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Scholar In A Villa by Wu Zheng. The price achieved of HKD 100,300 (€ 11,294) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 80,000 - 120,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Zheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in October 2009 with an auction result of HKD 1,940,000 (€ 169,610).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scholar In A Villa von Wu Zheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.300 (€ 11.294) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000 – 120.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Zheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.940.000 (€ 169.610).
