This artwork by Wu Zheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March this year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Ink Landscape, 1941 sold for USD 7,013 (€ 6,322) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Zheng achieve.
