Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphic Couplets by Wu Ping was sold in the Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors auction at POLY in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,200.00 (€ 148.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Ping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 4,200.00 (€ 498.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Wu Ping wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.200,00 (€ 148,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Ping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 4.200,00 (€ 498,63) versteigert wurde.
