Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape in Jiangnan by Wu Jingshan was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 15,436.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Jingshan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 649,000.00 (€ 71,430.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape in Jiangnan von Wu Jingshan wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 15.436,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Jingshan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 649.000,00 (€ 71.430,12).
