This artwork by Wu Deyi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art auction, the work Crossing a Bridge sold for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,780.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. This high result makes Crossing a Bridge the most expensive artwork by Wu Deyi that we have observed at auctions so far.
