The price achieved of USD 20,480.00 (€ 18,775.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Władysław Aleksander Malecki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polish wawel Cathedral, Krakow, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 40,777.95).
