In the Important American Furniture, Folk Art and Silver auction, the work A Pair of Portraits of The Reverend and Mrs. Quackenbush changed hands for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,817.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Winthrop Chandler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Portrait of Jonathan Devotion in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,791.66).
