Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dump Truck (Scale Model 1:6) by Wim Delvoye was sold in the Contemporary Art / Doha auction at Sothebys in Doha in April 2015. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,987.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wim Delvoye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 265,313.28).
