Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work A Summer Evening by Wilmot Pilsbury. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 702.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Wilmot Pilsbury have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2000 the work A woman at the door of a half-timbered cottage, with ducks in the garden was auctioned for GBP 775.50 (€ 1,244.39).
