Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couple Romantique, 1976 by Willy Anthoons was auctioned at Artcurial in March 2013. The price achieved of EUR 1,802.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy Anthoons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 1966, which sold at auction in October 2011 for EUR 4,463.00.

Die Arbeit Couple Romantique, 1976 von Willy Anthoons kam im März 2013 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.802,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willy Anthoons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1966 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für EUR 4.463,00 versteigert wurde.
