Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Figure Group by William Wilson was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,616.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Harbour, Concarneau, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 5,221.87).

Die Arbeit A Figure Group von William Wilson kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.408,00 (€ 1.616,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von William Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Harbour, Concarneau beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 5.221,87) versteigert wurde.
