A top price for William Wetmore Story - as previously expected
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction European Art: Part I, which included the work Dalilah by William Wetmore Story. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 220,614.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dalilah is the most expensive artwork by William Wetmore Story that we have observed at auctions so far.
