Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St. Etienne by William Wegman was sold in the American Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The price achieved of USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,125.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Wegman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On and On, 2015 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,822.95).
