Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work British At Winchelsea, Sussex by William Teulon Blandford Fletcher for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.26). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Teulon Blandford Fletcher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Truants, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,889.77).
