Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 20.3 x 25.7 cm. (8 x 10 1/8 in.) by William Scott was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 7,040.00 (€ 8,157.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bowl, Eggs and Lemons in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,071,650.00 (€ 1,354,601.53).

Die Arbeit Untitled 20.3 x 25.7 cm. (8 x 10 1/8 in.) von William Scott kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.040,00 (€ 8.157,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bowl, Eggs and Lemons im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.071.650,00 (€ 1.354.601,53).
