It achieved a price of GBP 53,740.00 (€ 62,272.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bowl, Eggs and Lemons in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,071,650.00 (€ 1,354,601.53).

Die Arbeit Still Life No. 1 58.4 x 77.1 cm. (23 x 30 3/8 in.) von William Scott kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 53.740,00 (€ 62.272,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bowl, Eggs and Lemons im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.071.650,00 (€ 1.354.601,53).
