Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,235.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Robert Symonds - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sounds of the Sea, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 18,483.94).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.235,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von William Robert Symonds mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sounds of the Sea beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 11.950,00 (€ 18.483,94) versteigert wurde.
