Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Ritschel could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work Rocky Coastal with Crashing Waves changed hands for USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,693.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Ritschel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pilot on Board in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 137,575.00 (€ 122,823.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Ritschel konnte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit Rocky Coastal with Crashing Waves für USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.693,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Ritschel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pilot on Board im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.575,00 (€ 122.823,86).
