In March 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work New York Landscape by William Rickarby Miller. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,530.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Rickarby Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Across The Hudson To New York: A Pair Of Paintings in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,553.27).
