Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work New York Landscape by William Rickarby Miller. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,530.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Rickarby Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Across The Hudson To New York: A Pair Of Paintings in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,553.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit New York Landscape von William Rickarby Miller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.530,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Rickarby Miller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View Across The Hudson To New York: A Pair Of Paintings im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.553,27).
