In the The Irish Sale Part II auction, the work View to the cottages sold for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,361.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Percy French have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Paint Brush and Pen: Some Impressions for Pictures and Snatches of Song by William Percy French'; an album of thirteen watercolours including The Fairie's Cough; Morning; Evening; In the Studio; The Kindly Welcome; To E.R.; To the Dark Rosaleen; Gor in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 94,27
