Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Irish Sale Part II, which included the work Sunlight Through The Clouds by William Percy French. The price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,130.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Percy French achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Paint Brush and Pen: Some Impressions for Pictures and Snatches of Song by William Percy French'; an album of thirteen watercolours including The Fairie's Cough; Morning; Evening; In the Studio; The Kindly Welcome; To E.R.; To the Dark Rosaleen; Gor in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 94,2

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.130,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
