In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale Part II, which included the work A Donegal Bog by William Percy French. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,944.47), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Percy French achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Paint Brush and Pen: Some Impressions for Pictures and Snatches of Song by William Percy French'; an album of thirteen watercolours including The Fairie's Cough; Morning; Evening; In the Studio; The Kindly Welcome; To E.R.; To the Dark Rosaleen; Gor in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 94,2

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.944,47) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Percy French erzielen.
