Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Meeting The Boats by William Page Atkinson Wells. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,554.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Page Atkinson Wells have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Lilac Sunbonnet in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,339.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Meeting The Boats von William Page Atkinson Wells zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.554,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Page Atkinson Wells auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Lilac Sunbonnet im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.339,71).
