Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by William Nelson Copley was auctioned at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,240.00 (€ 13,829.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Nelson Copley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gingham Girls in May last year with an auction result of USD 579,600.00 (€ 540,117.42).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Nelson Copley kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.240,00 (€ 13.829,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Nelson Copley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gingham Girls im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 579.600,00 (€ 540.117,42).
