In the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Portrait of Nora Allen, seated half-length, reading a book sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,195.85) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Mainwaring Palin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Young Berry Pickers, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,486.05).
