A top price for William M. Littlejohn - as previously expected
In January 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work Green Thought 1971 by William M. Littlejohn. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,619.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Green Thought 1971 is the most expensive artwork by William M. Littlejohn that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Januar 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Thought 1971 von William M. Littlejohn zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.619,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Green Thought 1971 das teuerste Kunstwerk von William M. Littlejohn, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
