Auction result well in line with expectations
The work British Plage De Saint Malo by William Luker was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,082.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Luker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exchanging News in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 21,600.00 (€ 16,910.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit British Plage De Saint Malo von William Luker kam im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.082,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
