Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction An American Summer, which included the work Juliet by William James Glackens. The price achieved of USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,116.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Glackens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Café Lafayette (Portrait of Kay Laurell) in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 792,500.00 (€ 699,902.85).
