Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,960.00 (€ 10,071.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Henry Knight - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Rivals To Blondin', which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 29,223.02).
