The work In Disgrace by William Henry Gore was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,371.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, In Disgrace is the most expensive artwork by William Henry Gore that we have observed at auctions so far.
