In June 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Tailor-Made: Fashion Photographs from the Collection of Peter Fetterman, which included the work Simone D'Aillencourt with Whippet, Penn Station by William Helburn. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,671.18), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Helburn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Canoe in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Tailor-Made: Fashion Photographs from the Collection of Peter Fetterman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Simone D'Aillencourt with Whippet, Penn Station von William Helburn zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.671,18) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Helburn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Canoe im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94).
