Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Hatherell could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Art auction, the work Making Royal Robes at the Royal School of Art Needlework changed hands for USD 165.75 (€ 160.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hatherell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catch in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,205.60).
